Editors are crucial for the smooth running of JCOM: they select expert reviewers, guaranteeing the scientific quality of the Journal and ensuring smooth and timely editorial processing of contributions. Indeed, the journal relies heavily on the editors' scientific qualifications, competence, promptness and commitment for quality and efficiency. Editorial oversight and peer review is handled anonymously.
Manuscripts are assigned to the most appropriate editor. The editor's workload is taken into account in the distribution of the assignments and overload is avoided insofar as possible. JCOM has a large number of editors to give competent coverage of all of JCOM's subject areas. This ensures that manuscripts are reviewed by the most appropriate reviewers and that generic decisions are avoided.
Editors are expected to carry out their tasks according to the Journal Editorial policy and Ethical policy.
