Kathan A. Kothari is involved with Manthan Educational Programme Society, India as an Outreach Co-ordinator and Social Designer since 2007. He Graduated from The National Institute of Design, India as a visual communicator and took up further work in the field of Science Communication and Social Design using his skills of design and communication. His interest towards learning science and his education in Visual communication keeps him involvement with interest at Manthan where he focusses on designing science based mass communication material, hands-on science activity material, hands-on science exhibition, outreach projects and project coordination. Currently he is involved with Manthan on several projects as a project coordinator and core planning committee member like I-STED (Innovation based Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Programme), Science for Equity Empowerment and Development, Hands-on Outreach programmes, etc. Most of the projects Manthan is involved with are supported by organisations and departments like Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, Vigyan Prasar, Govt of India, GUJCOST, UNICEF, CARE, and several other Governmental and Non-Governmental organisation. He is also involved as a voluntary co-coordinator for Manthan Narmada Science Centre in Tribal District. He has written several research papers and presented on science communication, entrepreneurship and empowerment on National and International platforms. He has also been an advisor to few projects on National and International scales. His expertise to involve Masses of Community, Culture, Design and Science is the key to the success of the projects he is involved in.
